Note: This component is necessary for the configuration of the Load control component.

INTRODUCTION

This component is necessary for the configuration of the Load control plugin module. However, you can use it to keep under control power consumption/power reduction and energy and set an alert when the power threshold is overtaken.

USE CASES

  • You can use this component to monitor the energy production of your solar pannels and in the same time even the energy consumption

COMPONENT’S PROPERTIES

Customizable component’s title and icon. Please refer to “Common properties” guide.

GUI

This component’s sample is made by using Graphic UI gateway.

Please refer to “Gateways / Protocols” chapter in order to get further info.

Power:

Active power: Info component that refers to the active power of the used device;

Reactive power: Info component that refers to the reactive power of the used device;

Power factor (cosφ): Info component that refers to the power factor of the used device;

Max power: this value is measured in Watt and it set the max power consumption.

This info can be added to the user interface to let users read power data.

Energy:

Positive active energy: Info component that refers to the positive active energy of the used device;

Negative active energy: Info component that refers to the negative active energy of the used device;

Positive reactive energy: Info component that refers to the active energy of the used device;

Negative  reactive energy: Info component that refers to the reactive energy of the used device;

Counter offset: this text field is typically used as a counter for the energy consumption or it can be used, in case of a physical broken device, as a placeholder so you can set the last valid gathered data;

This info can be added to the user interface to let users read energy data.

Note: text field available for additional information on the component from the admin side.

Alert:

Max threshold: power threshold beyond which the alarm is sent;

Customizable max threshold: Changeable value component that allows customizing the threshold value;

This tuner can be added to the user interface to let users customize the max power threshold.

Power threshold overtaken: Color info / Text info components which alert you about the reached level.
It could also be chosen as a Switch component to trigger a different alarm such as sending an email;

This colo info/text info can be added to the user interface to let users know the level has been reached.

Charts:

Power: This component allows you to create power graphs using gathered information and to display them in the user interface;

Energy: This component allows you to create energy graphs using gathered information and to display them in the user interface;

CLASSIC VISUALIZATION

This is how the Power meter component is displayed within the Classic user interface within EVE Remote Plus.

The first value displayeed within the Power meter component is the active power value .

The second value displayed is the one that concern the produced energy value by the fotovoltaic plant ..

The first chart displayed regards the active power. The chart has been configured within the Power meter component properties under the section Charts more specifically on the drop down called Potenza.

MAP VISUALIZATION

This is how the Power meter component is displayed within the Classic user interface within EVE Remote Plus.

In the Map user interface, the values are overlayed one with the other. The power value is displayed first and below that it is displayed the Energy value .

On the bottom of the power meter interface are displayed the two charts that regards the energy and the power recording .

HELP
Power meter configuration can be easily carried out by using component’s drag&drop function. When setting components on Component’s parameters, you can use the drop- down menu, or you can drag and drop them from “My components” area to the component selection field.

Reminder before continuing:

  • Download and Install EVE Logic plugin to enable plugins (link);
  • After loading .eve project to the server, run EVE Remote app, log in and then wait a couple of minutes for logics activation.
