Interface object editor
The editor’s options changes depending on the typology of the object (icon or component) and on the interface (Classic or Map):
Title: title defined for the selected object which can be edited anytime;
Icon/s: icons defined for the selected object which can be edited anytime through the Icon editor;
Note: Title and Icons correspond to User interface title and user interface icon defined on the component’s properties. Correspondance between the two.
Parameters available only for component objects:
Scale factor: it is the percentage value that defines size of the object icon;
Scale width: this is the scale value for the object’s width;
Scale height: this is the scale value for the object’s height;
View mode: please refer to “Component’s view modes” guide;
Disable circle icon: this is a check box and it is useful to disable the circle visualized around the component;
Hide icon when … is … : this is a condition which allows you to hide/show the component icon, moreover to link this condition to the state of another different component of your project. This function is very useful when you need a component to be shown only on specific conditions;
Disable icon when … is … : this is a condition which allows you to enable/disable the interaction with the component, moreover to link this condition to the state of another different component of your project. This function is very useful when you need to know the state of a component but not to interact with it;
File path: it indicates the file path of the component. Arrow icon leads you directly to the Components tab.
This window is common to the component’s icon editor and the interface icon’s editor. In order to edit object’s icon you need to do right click on it (on the object editor) and the Icon editor will appear to let you make changes:
Enabling icon’s color you are allowed to customize the color of the icon. You can choose from the color picker the color that best suits you and it is also possible to save your preferences on right.
Note. When considering Map interface creation, if “Circle icon” is enable, the icon’s color refer to the circle. If “circle icon” is disabled, the icon’s color refer to the icon.
This is the place where you can edit your objects icons. Just click on the icon of the selcted object and then EVE icons list will appear in front of you. Choose the one that best suits you.
Note. There are icons specifically thought to be chosen for the menu of the interface (both Classic then Map). The particular characteristic is a light shadow which looks perfect for menu icons but can look strange for components icon.
Note. When considering a component, both name and icon are the one defined on the Component’s tab. If you will edit component’s name and/or icon from the Interface tab this one will not be changed on the Component’s parameters on Component’s tab. Vice versa, if you edit component’s name and/or icon from the Component’s parameters area of the Component’s tab, this will automatically change also on your user interface. Please refer to “Component’s parameters” guide.
