Right click context menu

This is the right click context menu of Map interface tab:

Copy / paste and assignment functions:

Remove element: it allows to remove the selected component from the the sheet;

Remove background: it allows to remove the selected background of the specific sheet;

Copy / Paste: it allows to copy / paste the selected component;

Assign component: this function allows to assign the properties of another component placed on your components list (including the component’s UID) to a component added on the canvas area of the sheet. This means that this kind of action leads to the total component’s replacement and is very useful in order to make quick changes on your user interface. (See Sample 1 below);

Copy: it allows to copy the position of the selected component;

Paste: it allows to paste the position of the selected component to the present component;

Paste position X: it allows to paste only the vertical position of the selected component to the present component;

Paste position Y: it allows to paste only the orizontal position of the selected component to the present component;

Copy / Paste page: it allows to copy / paste all the components of the sheet to a new sheet with the same positions;

Clear page: it allows to remove all components from the sheet;

Assign folder: (function not yet available)  this function allows to assign the properties of all the components’ group placed on your components list (including the components’ UID) to a group of components added on the canvas area of the sheet. This means that this kind of action leads to the total components’ replacement and is very useful in order to make quick changes on your user interface. Note. Components of the group and components on the canvas area must be of the same tipology.

Sample 1

We have several rooms with same components tipology but of corse with different components setting and UID. In order to speed up the creation of each sheet, we can make use of the “Sheet copy / paste” function that allows to copy / paste all the components of the sheet to a new sheet with the same disposition.

On this way the new sheet will contains the same identical components of the previous sheet and so room. However we need to replace the pasted components with the components of the proper room (Office 2). In order to do this, open the group on “My components” area and select the component to replace. Do right click on the correspondant component on the sheet and select “Assign component” from the right click context menu.

Component will be replaced with the selected component of the group. The evidence of the assignment is given from the component ID changing. As you can see, before changing the component had the identical UID of the component contained in the copied sheet (UID: 857). After assignment, the component has the identical UID of the component contained in the group (UID: 852) and inherits the properties.

Do this with all components that require the new assignment.

Layers function:

Bring to front: it allows to bring a component to front from another component;

Bring forward: it allows to bring a component forward to all the other components;

Send to back: it allows to bring a component back to another component;

Send backward: it allows to bring a component backward to all the other components;

The layers function can be a valid option to the hidden function of the component’s view mode. It turns to be very useful when you need to hide components behind another one such as an IP Camera. As you can see from the example below, under the IP Camera frame there are many components which are not visible but with which you can however interact.
