Disaster recovery


It may happens that the server stops working due to an electrical phenomenon or an hardware damage. The customer then has urgency for an immediate solution. In this case it is possible to operate the system on a different hardware up to your intervention.

The EVE Server unit can be replaced with a Raspberry Pi or a virtual machine, just before technical support is provided, hence continuous uninterrupted operation is guaranteed. To this purpose, a RaspBerry is usually supplied in advance so that the customer himself can replace the physical device.

This type of precaution involves the setup of a pre-configured Raspberry Pi with an uploaded copy of the the original project. The possibility to install the software on different hardware is also helpful for installers as it gives the installer the possibility for multiple backup units.
