Lighting

Most projects end up with more than one lighting system: KNX on the ceiling, a Hue lamp on a side table, DMX washing a façade. They are all light, and they should all be on the same screen.

How it connects

RGBW and tunable white

Brightness, colour temperature and full RGBW colour on KNX luminaires, with the same widget for every brand.

Wireless and proprietary

Philips Hue and the Rako lighting system join the same interface without a second app.

Architectural DMX

Art-Net carries DMX over the building network for façades, cove lighting and scenographic fixtures.

Frequently asked

Do the different systems behave the same way?
Yes — every brand speaks the same visual language in the interface, so a Hue lamp and a KNX dimmer are operated with the same widget.
Can one scene cover all of them?
Yes. Scenes and Logic Flow act across subsystems, so one command can set a KNX circuit, a Hue lamp and a DMX fixture together.
Is DMX run over the KNX bus?
No. Art-Net carries DMX over the Ethernet network, which is why long architectural runs do not load the bus.
