BACnet and Modbus gateways are built into the server, and the server can act as a Modbus slave — you need that the day a general contractor wants the floor exposed to their management system.

Weekly time programmes, astronomical clock and conditional logic drive lighting and setpoints per zone, so an empty floor is not conditioned at the same setpoint as a full one.
Access without a second system
The Access Control module extends the same project to commercial and multi-user environments, so badge access and automation share one set of users.
Reporting that survives an audit
Historical analytics with filters, cost conversion into local currency, and Excel export of logged data for reporting or an energy audit.

Can the building be handed over to a third-party BMS?
Yes. With the server acting as a Modbus slave, or over BACnet, the floor is exposed to a management system without a second controller in the riser.
How many zones can one server handle?
The licence imposes no limit on group addresses, users or interfaces. The practical limit is the hardware, which is why complex projects are specified on the X1 Plus rather than the V100.
Is there a per-user or per-seat cost?
No. Users, app installations, scenarios, schedules and push notifications are not metered by the licence.
