In order to obtain the higher versatility, EVE project is based on a basic components list which included switches, buttons, dimmers, information, timers, scenarios, etc. Each component can be used for several purposes.
A switch component can be used to represent a wall switch. However the switch component can also represent a KNX switch actuator. Furthermore, a switch component can also not be necessary connected to a real physical device. For example it can also be used as output of a AND / OR logic. Later it can be used to activate a scenario or it can be added to the user interface to warn of a particular state.
If the component represents a physical device (of any protocol), EVE Server will try to acquire the status and keep it updated through the BUS feedbacks. Thanks to this method, as soon as the smartphone / tablet connects to EVE Server the device status is immediately sent without ask to the device itself.
This extremely fast up the speed of the system and the user interaction with the installation. Moreover, the system is always up to date with the true state of the device. This type of efficiency is not reachable from systems that do not make use of a server and for web server systems.
“Components” tab is arranged into three different areas:
1. Components library (left area):
here is a list of all the components available for configuration. There are basic and advanced components divided into different categories (switches, shutters, thermostats, surveillance…). From the drop-down menus, choose which of them you need in your project and simply drag and drop icons from this area to “My components” area.
2. My components (central area):
here is the list of all the components which you have chosen from the Components library. This is the official list of all the components of your project which can be edited at any moment. Also, you can decide to organize the list into different groups. Check out how to add, import and export groups from and to different projects.
3. Component’s properties (right area):
this area shows properties of the specific component selected on “My components” area. Here is where every component of the project is configured with its specific function. Component’s configuration is different depending on its category and the gateway it uses, however there is a common configuration structure. Check out the common properties.
EVE Manager components library contains both basic components and plugin modules. In order to enable system’s plugins you first need to download the main EVE Logic module and later carry out the installation. Once you will have downloaded and installed EVE Logic plugin module, all components will actually be available.

It can represent the On / Off state of a sensor, it can command an actuator changing the parameters’ value. Also, it can be used as input of AND / OR logics, as a system command to activate scenarios or it can be controlled by weekly timers to generate events.
The slider is the component that represents a percentage. The percentage control of a dimmer is performed by the Slider. If it is necessary to indicate a value other than 100 as the maximum value, you can change the default settings. It is also possible to subdivide the percentage at various points and define what icon should be used for each interval.
Used to call two scenarios with a dedicated graphics component. For example, to switch to a previous and next track of a CD player. The scenarios may be of any type, they can send different infrared or call the component feed track Vivaldi protocol.
This component is similar to the slider component. However it shows the actual component’s value on the BUS rather than being a percentage. It may indicate a level of LUX of a sensor. It can also be used to set a brightness threshold to use as comparison in other components in order to activate lights or other types of automatisms.
This component keeps track of data from sensors, counters and switches. The store of information can be used later by other components, such as the Chart component, for creating graphics. There is also the possibility to define the criteria for recording data.
This component allows you to create graphs using gathered information and to display them in the user interface. Each information deriving from a sensor, counter, or switch can be used to be represented in a chart.
This component is necessary for the configuration of Load control plugin module. However you can use it to keep under control power consumption / power reduction and energy and set alert when power threshold is overtaken.

Clima is the widget that allows to gather all the functions of your thermostat and control them all in one place. Temperature, thermostat’s power on / off, thermostat’s modes, fan speed and season are managed in the same user interface.
This component has been developed in order to speed up the navigation when using EVE Remote Map app. In fact, it allows you to jump from a tab to another with a simple click on the Go to icon placed where you want within the map interface.
This component performs for you calculations on values of other parameters and then display the result directly on the user interface or use it in other components such as the component If Then. You can use up to 4 components as function variables calculated. The functions of this component are also available in Excel.
This component allows to count how many times a Switch component is activated and also for how much time is left activated. The Counter is used to carry out assessments of preventive replacements or consumption.
This is a component widely used as it allows to carry out specific tasks upon the occurrence of certain conditions. If a component passes to a state or if a value of a sensor changes to be higher by a value set by the user, this can generate a specific action.
This component allows to copy the state of a component in other components. For example, a series of lights must be switched together but are configured with different protocols. In this way a switch Modbus can be “copied” in an switch with another protocol (KNX, Vimar or change station of Vivaldi device).
This component allows you to perform Boolean operations (AND / OR / XOR / NOT). This is done when the status of one of the inputs change. There is the possibility to define, for each input, whether to consider changing the ON / OFF or OFF / ON. You can define up to 4 outputs, each of which will acquire the value resulting from the operation.
This component is an operator which allows to process the single signal to add delays or activate functions after verifying the stability of the same signal for a certain time. It gives the possibility to manage operations that can be performed even with scenarios. However it is more convenient to control events in detail, distinguishing the ON/OFF timing.
This component makes it possible to EVE to send e-mail messages allowing clients to be updated on the status of their houses. Useful to send Email alerts to customizable contacts lists. To enable this feature you must use other components listed below. Email component indicates the message which is sent using a Switch component as an activator.
This component allows to receive push notification directly from your EVE app. It is particularly useful for getting alerts and be informed about the state of the building installation (sensors, actuators, temperatures, etc.).
This component allows you to create reports using gathered information and to display them into an Excel file. Each information deriving from a specified component can be used to be represented in a chart and can be sent through Email on Daily, Weekly or Monthly basis.
This component allows you to record what happens in the system. The plugin has an operation similar to the plugin for sending emails but instead of sending a message, it is logged to a file that can be viewed later.

Typically it is used a light sensor with a threshold level to activate scenes on sunrise and sunset. You can replace the light sensor with this component that allows you to run scenes on sunrise and sunset defining the customer geographical location.
The cross functioning of these two components allows the user to set timers in a very flexible way. A typical case is the need to enable / disable a scenario every day of summer (or winter) offering the user the ability to define both times that the periods of activation of the scenario.
It is possible to add more than a Week Timer where each Week Timer can represents a specific period of the year (calendar). Week Timer Calendar, instead, is used to manage several Week Timer events. Week Timer Calendar is the component that allows to select the specific Week Timer and define the days that need to be considered directly by the end user on the interface.
This component allows the choice of a date. It is choose as a parameter in the operation of other components. For example it can be used to allow the user to choose a specific date for displaying the chart.

We know how much useful it would be to quickly reach a specific component in order to edit its parameters. This is the reason why the “Components” tab is provided with a Search command. You can whether enter Unique ID or title of the component. EVE Manager tracks the component and shows it in the current project.
Important: in order to successfully use this function you first need to open up all your components groups.
